Manvendrasinh Gohil, the crowned gay prince of Rajpipla in Narmada district,is all set for a preview of the four-part British television documentary ‘Under Cover Princes’. He will board a flight to London on January 12 for the event.
Interestingly,Gohil, who chose Michael Lower from the UK as his partner in this reality show has opted not to continue his relationship with him in the later episodes. The reason: The Kundlis (horoscopes) of the couple did not match.
Speaking to Newsline,Gohil said: “While on January 12,I along with other co-stars shall start the media publicity of the show, the show is expected to be aired soon.” He said,”The entire team of the show was in Gujarat for the documentary in September 2008.” He said September was selected as Navratri festival is held during these days. The documentary will be aired on BBC Channel for one hour, said Gohil.
Commenting on the reason why his co-stars and the team of the documentary ‘Under Cover Princes’ preferred India,he said,”While,I had seen Michael’s culture,I wanted him to see mine during Navratri festival.”
Gohil had taken Michael to his astrologer when the latter was in India. “The astrologer, making an analysis based on our Kundlis, advised us not to carry our relationship further. Michael, who works in a newspaper organisation, also agreed to follow his advice,” said Gohil.
He said though he had different views,he was not against Indian culture.
The reality show will also feature two other princes along with Gohil Prince Afrika from Zulu and Prince Remigius from Sri Lanka.
“In the reality show,we all were asked to do our daily chores and it was compulsory for us to get involved in social activities, said Gohil, who heads the NGO Lakshya.
