  • Mystery of the missing Meerut University lecturer, Kavita Chaudhary, deepened with the victim’s brother rubbishing claims of chief accused Ravindra Pradhan that he had murdered her on October 24.

Satish told reporters that he last spoke to his sister on her cellphone on December 7 morning.

However, this contradicts his earlier statement to the police and the media wherein he said that he had called Kavita on October 29, but found her cellphone switched off.

According to Satish, the Meerut University lecturer appeared to be in distress in that last call and the call ended abruptly as if someone had snatched it from her.

When asked why he had not disclosed about the last call earlier, Satish said he wanted to see how the police shields the real culprits.
