A day after more than a hundred girls protested during Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's programme in Rampur for the launch of Hamari Beti Uska Kal scheme, the BSP on Tuesday alleged that the protests reveal the "bungling" in the selection of beneficiaries.

Talking to reporters, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Swami Prasad Maurya said the protests by thousands of girls in Rampur and Sambhal show that the process for selection of beneficiaries of the government schemes is not fair and the ineligible persons are getting selected arbitrarily in place of eligible ones.
