West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee on questioned the source of election funds of the Trinamool Congress and accused the party of trying to purchase voters. "The Trinamool Congress is trying to buy off the voters with money," Bhattacharjee told an election meeting here, about 60 km from Kolkata. Questioning the source of funds of Trinamool Congress for the assembly elections, which the CPI-M leadership has been harping on for the past few days,Bhattacharjee claimed that the TC-Congress alliance was using money supplied by the rich. "We are a poor party and we do not use such money," he said at the meeting here, even as Trinamool Congress general secretary Mukul Roy slapped a legal notice yesterday on CPI-M Housing Minister Gautam Deb for making such comments. "Black money is being used in campaign, use of helicopters, advertisements and they are trying to buy the voters," he said. Accusing the media of having sided with the Opposition,Bhattacharjee said,"They are all predicting that the alliance will emerge victorious. "Owners of large media houses don't like us,we also don't like them."
