Mclaren and 2009 Formula One champion Jenson Button’s brilliant form on the race track is reportedly hurting fellow Brit star Lewis Hamilton.

Having come second in the recently held inaugural Indian Grand Prix,Button bristled at being asked to talk about Hamilton’s woes yet again after his latest collision with Felipe Massa.

Button has made it ten podiums finishes this season, three of which have seen him climb to the top step.

“I don’t want to be asked about Lewis again. It is doing my head in,” the Daily Mail quoted Button,as saying.

McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh has also conceded that Button’s performances this season has done Hamilton’s head in.

Whitmarsh said: “Lewis will not like being beaten by his teammate. I don”t want him to enjoy being beaten by his teammate. I want him to try and beat Jenson just as I want Jenson to beat Lewis.”

After months of ducking the issue,Button was only too happy to discuss what beating Hamilton would mean to him – perhaps as a direct result of feeling he is not getting the credit he deserves.

“We all want to beat our teammate whatever we say, that is the way it is,” conceded Button.

He added: “If you have one like Lewis who is bloody quick it means a lot when you can finish in front of him. He is also another world champion so he is no slouch.”
