Due to poor crowd response to Mohali’s IPL matches, the team owners have decided to introduce new schemes to attract crowds.
One can buy a ticket in the denomination of Rs 750, Rs 2,000 and 3,000 and get another free for the match against the Kolkata Knight Riders to be played on Saturday. While, for the game on May 12, ticket prices have been slashed by half.
“IThe day games did not witness a full-house, which can be attributed to the excessive heat and humid conditions,” Neil Maxwell, CEO of Kings XI Punjab, said. “And we realized that over Rs 750 tickets were of high-end range and were not that successful in attracting more fans. That’s why we came up with the idea of slashing the ticket prices. In order to reduce the gap between Rs 250 ticket and Rs 750 ticket, the buy-one-get-one-ticket-free scheme has been introduced.”
