Meanwhile, in the other part of the town, director Rajan Lyallppuri talked about his venture, ‘Wattanaan Ton Door’. This one’s real far off the Punjabi NRI map for it’s set in Germany and has all the makings of a punch drunk drama - needy family back home, unemployment, job search abroad, contractual marriage for visa, wicked agents, property crisis et al. It stars Avinash Wadhawan, Gursewak Mann, Vivek Shauq, Upasana Singh, Arun Bakshi, Deep Dhillon, Raza Murad, Nirmal Pandey and Tinaa Ghaai. Which brings us to a little chitchat with Tinaa - singer, dancer, model and actor. “My family migrated to Canada long time back, and recently I lost my father there and couldn’t go, so I know what the pains of separation and staying in a foreign country is,” Tinaa states her reason for saying yes to the film. With about 40-45 films and and equal number of TV serials, a couple of albums in almost every Indian language, Tinaa says what works for her is a package deal. “Like in this film, I get to sing and act,” she, however, makes it a point to take one thing at a time. “I’m a highly organised person,” she says. When you’re handling a glamourous existence along with a profession which deals with building contracts and doing interiors, you have to have things in order! “I cannot sit still, I have to work,” she believes that if you have a dream, then go for it. “Compromise, casting couch...everything’s nonsense. It’s completely your choice. Just focus, do your work and move on,” says this crooning queen.
