After playing the gun-totting,coke-snorting sidekick in Vishal Bhardwajs Kaminey,Delhi-based actor Chandan Roy Sanyal disappeared from the radar screens mysteriously. The 27-year-old has finally resurfaced, waving the script of Deepa Mehtas much-awaited Midnights Children,in which he has bagged a role. I auditioned for the part in September and have only recently signed the contract for the film. Beyond this,I cannot divulge
anything, says Sanyal. The film, based on Salman Rushdies Booker Prize-winning novel, also stars Tabu,Irrfan,Soha Ali Khan,Shabana Azmi and Nandita Das,and has Rushdie as co-scriptwriter. Sanyals segment will be shot in Sri Lanka in April. The same month will also see back-to-back releases of three of Sanyals films F.A.L.T.U ,Tell me O Khuda and Love You to Death.
