  • “The move to form a committee headed by H.S. Chatha was done just to buy time. The committee has failed to submit its report even after two years and the government says it will act only after getting the report,’’ said Nalvi.

Jagjit Singh Jhinda, however, denied Nalvi’s allegation that he had joined hands with Hooda. “Our stand is clear. We are against all those people or organisations who have not allowed formation of a separate SGPC for Haryana, including Parkash Singh Badal, the SGPC, Haryana government and the Central government. We are very angry against the UPA government for not helping Sikhs achieve their aspirations in Haryana,’’ said Jhinda, adding, “As far as Nalvi is concerned, I have nothing against him, except that majority of the people are with us while he stands alone.”
