A Tata Nano caught fire on MG Road in Gurgaon on Saturday evening. According to police,the incident took place around 7.30 pm,when a car drove past DT City Center Mall near MG Road Metro station.
R K Gupta was travelling with his wife and son when smoke started billowing from the engine of his car. He stopped the car in the middle of the road and asked his family to get out. Gupta said: I had got my car serviced in the afternoon. We were at the nursery near Sikandarpur when I noticed smoke. In a few minutes,the car burst into flames. Inspector Birender Singh,who was stationed at the spot,said: The fire brigade arrived within 10 minutes and doused the fire. Crowds gathered around the area,which resulted in snarls for more than half an hour.
