Car deliveries surge on first day of Navratras

On the first day of Navratras today,over 300 car deliveries were made at citys prominent car showrooms.

On the first day of Navratras today,over 300 car deliveries were made at citys prominent car showrooms. The number of two-wheeler deliveries also went as high as 250. An average of 50 four-wheelers and 100 two-wheelers including scooty and motorbikes were driven home by today evening.

Amrit Pal Singh,General Manager at KLG told Newsline,To ensure that the deliveries of their cars be made today,the first day of Navratras,a number of customers had made bookings in advance during the last three days of Shradh period. Due to the sudden rush in demand now,our staff is being overworked while we hardly recorded any vehicle deliveries in the last 15 days during the Shradh period.

The car dealers also shared that maximum number of purchases are being made in small segment of cars over these days,with cars like Alto K10,Wagon R and Chevrolet Spark being the most sought-after vehicles.

For those who drove their vehicles home today,the distributors of both four-wheelers and two-wheelers had special offers. Vinay Sharma,Berkeleys Sales Manager said,We had set special discounts for customers who made their bookings in the last two days. The discount ranged between Rs 20,000 to Rs 35,000.

Meanwhile,in the two-wheeler segment at Hind Motors Bajaj,the customers were given free helmets and melamine dinner sets today. To wish good luck to the customers and mark the first day of Navratras,we gifted them helmets dinner sets, said Hind Motors General Manager,Rahul Sharma.

Other car dealers are offering free gifts like LCD TV,refrigerators and washing machines with the first 100 vehicle deliveries made during the navratras.
