A fine display by their forwards in the tie-break guided Carmel Convent School to a 3-2 win via tie-breaker in the final of the U-17 girls' category in the Inter-School Football Tournament being organised by UT Education Department. Jaspreet Kaur scored the first goal for the winning team while Sukrit scored the second goal. The third goal for the winning team was scored by Sarika Kaul. For the losing side, Tanvi and Hartaniya fired a goal each. Sacred Heart School, Sector 46 claimed the third place with a 2-0 win over Delhi Public School. Gurleen Kaur scored the first goal for the winning team in the 12th minute before Malaika fired in the second goal in the 20th minute of the match to set up the 2-0 win.
In Inter-School chess tournament, St Kabir Public School, Sector 26 bagged the top spot in the boys' U-17 category. Ryan International School claimed the second spot while Saupin's School finished third. Meanwhile, in judo competitions held at Sector 42 Sports Complex, Government Model high School, Sector 34, lifted the title in the boys' U-17 category while Government Model high School, Sector 43 got the second spot while ISDS-21 finished at the third position. In the 40 Kg category, Rohit of GMHS-34 ended the challenge of Abdul Rehman of GMHS 43 to emerge as the winner while in the 45 kg category, Ajay Minhans of GMHS-43 defeated Ankush of GMHS-34 in the final. In the 50 Kg category, Pushpinder of ISDS-21 emerged as the winner as he outclassed over Vijay of GMHS-34. It was easy going for Reetik of GMHS-34 as he registered an easy triumph over Sidhant of St Xavier's School in the 55 Kg final. In the 60 Kg final, Sarwan of GMHS-43 prevailed over Arjun Bisht of DAVSSS-8 while in the 65 Kg final, Prince of GMHS-34 scored an easy win over Gurkirat of ISDS-21. In the throwball event, GMSSS-23 grabbed top honours by beating GMSSS-44 by 2-1 in the final.
