Prakash Ram, meanwhile, moved an application demanding that an amount of Rs 2 lakh, which was taken by the CBI from his residence in Nada Village, shall be returned.
Placing on record property documents, the defence counsel for Prakash Ram said that the money belongs to Ram Rattan, Prakash Ram’s uncle.
The prosecution added that the source of the money is yet to be ascertained and if the money is found to be of Ram Rattan, then the money would be returned to him.
On the other hand, Rajiv Gupta also filed his bail application.
The court after recording the statements of both the sides reserved the order till 4 pm. However, the judge deferred the pronouncement to Monday afterwards.
