The Centre has chosen two districts from Uttar Pradesh to implement its Indira Gandhi Matritv Sahyog Yojna (Maternal Support Scheme),where pregnant women will be given a conditional cash incentive of Rs 4,000 for pre-natal and post-natal care.
In the pilot phase, the scheme will be launched in 52 districts across the country including Mahoba and Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh in December.
