Caustic soda down on reduced offtake

Caustic soda prices fell by Rs 50 per 50 kg in the national capital.

Caustic soda prices fell by Rs 50 per 50 kg in the national capital following reduced offtake by consuming industries against fresh arrivals from producing regions.

Caustic soda flake declined by Rs 50 to Rs 1,400-1,500 per 50 kg.

Traders said subdued demand from consuming industries against increased arrivals from producing belts mainly pulled down caustic soda prices.

Elsewhere,prices of other chemicals ruled steady on scattered deals.
