“Shabir Longo prepared the clip to blackmail me so that I do not marry anybody else.’’ This is the crucial part of the testimony of the 15-year old victim of the J&K sex abuse scandal given to the CBI which identifies the culprit behind the filming of the MMS and unveils the personal trauma of the girl child.
For the victim’s statement reveals that Shabir Longo, one of the 24 men she named before CBI sleuths, was the one who filmed her naked on his mobile phone in Hotel Khayam and after a few days, even showed her the clip along with a second one.
The second MMS clip was of a girl in black burkha having oral sex in a moving car. This girl is yet to be traced by the CBI but the clip is probably the one contained in the second CD which reached the police and lifted the lid of the sensational sex abuse scandal, first reported by The Indian Express,/i>.
Two days ago, the CBI, which has a 13-member team camping in Srinagar, arrested Longo who has been described by the victim as a surrendered militant who also trades in stolen copper.
While six suspects had already been arrested by the J&K police, Longo’s is the lone arrest made by the CBI since it took over the case on May 10.
The victim has recalled that Longo was the only ‘‘client’’ among the 24 men named whom she visited on more than one occasion and who desperately wanted to marry her. She had, however, turned down the offer since she wanted to marry someone else. According to her statement, the man she wanted to marry was aware of these “activities’’ and the two got married on April 1, days after the police lodged their FIR in the case.
