In the long pending inquiry marked against Sacred Heart School,Sector 26,in the Ruchika molestation case, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to give a personal hearing to the school.
CBSE Chairman Vineet Joshi on Saturday said,A committee was formed to review the reply sent by the school, but the school authorities have also requested personal hearing. We are considering giving them a personal hearing after which the case would be decided in about 10 days. He assured that in no case would the students studying in the school be affected. The chairman said the inquiry had been delayed as the Parliament was in session, and with that now over, the board would speed up the action.
An inquiry had been marked against the school after former DGP Haryana S P S Rathore was convicted in the case.
Rathore was also accused of pressurising the school for expelling Ruchika mid-term. After the case came up in Chandigarh for hearing,an inquiry against the school was marked by the administration and the school was held guilty of expelling Ruchika without reason. A copy of the report was also sent to the CBSE for further action. CBSE,taking note of the report, had asked the school to file a reply and the same was forwarded to a committee for further action.
