Footage from CCTV cameras installed in BSP MP Dhananjay Singhs house show his wife Jagriti beating her three domestic helps, police said on Sunday after they received a report from Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) regarding the same. Police had earlier suspected the footage to have been tampered with and had sent the recordings to the CFSL for analysis. Now,police said they were awaiting CFSLs official report on the footage. The MP and his wife have been arrested in connection with the death of help Rakhi. Her autopsy report suggested that she died of injuries sustained due to prolonged torture, allegedly at the hands of Jagriti. Meanwhile, police have sent two teams to 24 Parganas,North and South district,in West Bengal to bring to Delhi the family of another help Meena. Meena has been admitted at Ram Manohar Lohia hospital for treatment of injuries sustained allegedly due to torture by Jagriti. Police said they had contacted the families of Rakhi and Meena and were in the process of getting them to the capital. Rakhis son had come to the capital but returned home, claiming he had no money to take his mothers body home. Police have decided to provide special protection to Meena and the third domestic help,a juvenile, who are the key witnesses in the case. Sources said the local police had been guarding the two to ensure that they were not threatened to change their statement in court. In his statement to police,Rakhis husband said over the past nine months,he had been asking Dev Kumar, another accused in the case, about the whereabout of his wife. Police had found that Dev Kumar was the owner of the placement agency from where Jagriti had hired Rakhi and Meena. According to police,Kumar had brought the two helps to the capital and had reportedly received over a lakh from the MP after Rakhi was hired. The money also included Rakhis salary and Kumars fees for bringing her to Delhi. Whenever Rakhis husband asked him about his wife,Kumar would pay him some money, claiming that it had been sent by Rakhi. Her husband has alleged that he had enquired about his wife several times. But every time Kumar would give him some money and tell him that his wife was doing well, a police officer said.
