CEPT gets new prinicpal

Renowned architect Bimal Patel, whose many works in the city include IIM-Ahmedabad's new campus, the city's CG road and the controversial Sabarmati Riverfront, has been chosen to replace R N Vakil as president of the Center for Environmental Planning and Technology University (CEPT). Patel is an aluma of CEPT and went on to receive a dual degree in architecture and city planning from the University of California, Berkeley, and later a Doctor of Philosophy in regional planning. The outgoing president R N Vakil, became the president of CEPT in 2005.
