Chana futures prices rose by Rs 12 or 0.50 per cent at Rs 2,394 per quintal in futures trade today on low-level buying by traders following pick up in domestic demand. Chana prices tad up on buying interest at existing lower levels after prices fell more than 4 per cent in the last six sessions. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX),chana for far-month July contract rose Rs 12 or 0.50 per cent to Rs 2,294 per quintal,with a trading volume of 61 lots. The commodity for delivery in June-month also traded higher Rs seven or 0.30 per cent to Rs 2,345 per quintal in a business volume of 41 lots. Marketmen said,buying at lower-levels following pick up in domestic demand helped chana prices to trade higher at futures market.
