  • Confusion and chaos prevailed at Nehru Indoor Stadium where the swearing-in ceremony was held on Saturday as thousands of party cadres and functionaries converged at the venue. The crowds had become unmanageable by 10 am. Congress and DMK MLAs were able to enter the venue after great persuasion. Even senior Congress leader Jayanthi Natarajan had to return disappointed as she could not enter the stadium. The supporters were seen jostling with each other to gain entry into the stadium. When denied permission, they started raising slogans against the police and even damaged a few cars in anger.
