Charges against Shiney to be framed after Diwali

Charges against Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja will be framed by a sessions court in Mumbai after Diwali.

Charges against Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja,accused of raping his domestic maid at his residence in June this year,will be framed by a sessions court in Mumbai after Diwali.

A sessions court today adjourned the arguments on the framing of charges till November 6.

Ahuja’s lawyer Shrikanth Shivade had on the last hearing informed the court about the Bombay High Court order staying the framing of charges on a petition filed by the actor seeking copies of the medical and forensic reports.

According to Shivade,the reports of Ahuja and the victim did not match.

Ahuja (36),arrested on June 15 on the charge of raping his domestic maid,was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on October 1 and was directed to stay in Delhi and enter Mumbai only for the trial.

The police had on August 13 filed a 109-page chargesheet against the actor accusing him of rape,wrongful confinement and intimidation. The chargesheet consisted of medical reports which indicated Shiney had sexual intercourse with his maid.

The forensic experts also found that semen stains on the victim matched with the actor’s DNA sample.
