Charlize Theron on why she will never wed

The actress however revealed that she wants to be in a long-term relationship'.

Actress Charlize Theron has revealed that she has no plans to get married, even though she is single and needs ‘to find a man’.

Theron,35,revealed on ‘Piers Morgan Tonight’ that part of her anti-marriage stance stems from the legal hurdles gay couples face if they want to tie the knot.

“It’s a divine right. And,you know, when government starts to tell us who can love and what is good love … I do have a problem with that,” the New York Daily News quoted her as saying about marriage.

But she did say that while gay marriage is at the forefront of the political sphere these days, her marital views go back much further than that.

“I’ll be the first to say here on your show, marriage – before I felt this way about this issue – was never something that was important,” she explained.

“I don’t know the exact reason for that. Some would say it’s because I came from a very troubled marriage. My parents did not have a good marriage,” she explained.

She also revealed that while she does not want to get married, she does however want ‘a long-term relationship’.
