As he prepared to visit Arunachal Pradesh, China's official media on Friday launched another attack on the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama, calling him a "liar" accusing him of aiming to split China and disrupt the development of Tibet.

Criticising as "nonsense," the Dalai Lama's reported statement that "there exists fear in Tibet," the People's Daily, the mouthpiece of the ruling Communist Party, said it only showed that the Tibetan "spiritual" leader was pursuing a hidden agenda to split China.

"This nonsense only reveals the hollowness and self-deceiving gimmicks deep inside the lama's heart. As an economically thriving Tibet had drawn increasing attention from the world, the Dalai Lama could only see his hidden scheme to disrupt China's unity gradually falling apart," it said.

The Dalai Lama, currently in Japan, is scheduled to visit Tawang monastery in Arunachal Pradesh on November 8 on what he has said is a spiritual, and not political, trip.

China has asked India to stop the 74-year-old Tibetan monk from visiting Arunachal.

"There exists fear in Tibet", the nonsense shows the Dalai Lama is still telling lies. The Dalai Lama hates to see a unified and harmonious new Tibet. During the past 50 years, great changes have taken place in Tibet, and people are now enjoying rising amenities," it said.

A Great DeceptionBy: Rainbow | 04-Feb-2010 Reply | Forward A Great Deception by Western Shugden is an interesting book revealing alot about the Dalai Lama. However the way it is written is quite negative especially when it creates alot of implications and accusation only directed to the Dalai Lama. This makes it less credible. It can appear quite political in the way though it claims that one of it's aims is to Free Buddhism from Political Pollution. If only it was written in more informative voice, being objective instead of sounding bias, then perhaps I can believe it more. I doubt it will create more peace and harmony amongst Shugden and non-Shugden practitioners and it slams down the Dalai Lama alot. It can also turn non-Buddhist or newbies off from Buddhism itself, creating confusion. But this is all just my opinion, read the book and judge for your self. I do however agree on religious FREEDOM and that we all should have the right to practice whatever we want as long as it does no one harm.

The Great DeceptionBy: THOMAS | 08-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Saturday, November 7, 2009 A Great Deception The Western Shugden Society has published a new book concerning the Dorje Shugden controversy entitled 'A Great Deception'. The website publicising the new book explains: This is a true story revealing the hidden side to the celebrity Nobel Peace Prize winner %u2013 The Dalai Lama. Using ground-breaking research, this book looks behind the saintly image to expose the real Dalai Lama; a religious and political dictator, who is responsible for persecuting not only his own people, but millions of people around the World. The stated aims of the book are: To liberate millions of innocent practitioners of the Buddhist Deity Dorje Shugden and their families from suffering To restore peace and harmony between Shugden and non-Shugden practitioners To re-establish the common spiritual activities of Shugden and non-Shugden practitioners To free Buddhism from political pollution The book explains how, just like the 5th and 13th Dalai Lamas, the present Dalai Lama has misused Buddha's teachings for political aims (the Lama Policy) and how this degeneration has destroyed the peace and harmony of the international Buddhist community, including the persecution of Dorje Shugden practitioners. We will be featuring extracts from the book in future blog posts, so stay tuned!
Amazing BigotryBy: Han Chinese | 07-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward I am amazed at the bigotry and hostility shown on this board towards chinese people. It proves to me that chinese are not the only privileged people to have idiots among them. Although I am not against Tibetan independence personally, my observation of the 2008 (sometimes violent) protests against the Olympic torch relay is that it finally doomed the tibetan independence movement. The protests only hardened the posistion of the chinese government with over-whelming popular support from the majority Han chinese. You take it in whatever way you want. In my opiniojn the only way for the tibetan independence movement is to take up arms and see if it has any luck, this time.
