Senior business journalist and honorary secretary of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Nandkumar Kakirde has been appointed as a director on the Board of Pune Stock Exchange.

Senior business journalist and honorary secretary of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Nandkumar Kakirde has been appointed as a director on the Board of Pune Stock Exchange. He has been appointed from the shareholders category on the board. Kakirde has been in journalism for more than 30 years. He has worked as a business journalist with leading publications and has done extensive reporting on business,finance and stock markets.

Shrikant Jagtap is PUTA president
Shrikant Jagtap has been elected as the president of Poona University Teachers’ Association (PUTA). The post was vacant for the last two months after Atul Bagul resigned. Jagtap,a reader in Annasaheb Magar College,teaches Physical Chemistry and has published research papers in 28 research journals. He is an executive member of Maharashtra Federation of University and College Teachers’ Organisation and was vice president of PUTA.

Workshop for IIT aspirants

BVU youth festival held
Bharati Vidyapeeth University (BVU) School of Performing Arts won the general championship at BVU’s youth festival held recently. Marathi actor Bhargavi Chirmule presented the trophy to the winners. In the third year of the festival,more than 550 students from 15 colleges participated in 27 categories. Chirmule said youth festivals help in the development of overall personality of students. “It also helps to improve their communication skills,” she said. P M Bulakh director,BCUD of BVU and Nitin Nayak director of IMED and director of BVU School of Performing Arts Sharangdhar Sathe were present.
