A Delhi court on Monday granted bail to the couple arrested for allegedly kidnapping two-year-old girl Yashasvi, alias Gungun, from India Gate. Additional Sessions Judge S P Garg granted them bail against personal bonds of Rs 10,000 each and one surety of like amount.
Earlier, a magisterial court had dismissed the bail applications of the accused Rekha and Jugal Kishore saying that the probe in the case was in the initial stages. ASJ Garg, however, granted them bail noting that the couple did not have any criminal background and the child was not harmed. The girl went missing on June 18 while playing at the India Gate lawns. Two days later, she was found at a Jhandewalan temple.
