The tiny tots of Kiddies Paradise School celebrated Guru Nanak Dev’s birthday with enthusiasm. First of all, the children prayed and offered prayers to Sri Guru Granth Sahib. The little ones also recited shabads “Sat Guru Nanak pargataya” and “Ooncha dar Babe Nanak da” etc.
The whole atmosphere was devotional and blissful. Five children came dressed up as “Panj payaras”. They also recited “300 saal guru de naal”. Randhir Singh, the school director, congratulated the children on gurpurb and briefed them about Guru Nanak Dev. Guru ka Langar was also served on this occasion.
Love Dale School organised Parbhat Pheri to mark the Gurpurb.
Amrit Indo-Canadian Academy also celebrated Guruta Gaddi Diwas and birthday of Guru Nanak Dev with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The programme started with bhog of Sehaj Path. The vocal rendition of shabads from Guru Granth Sahib was given by school choir. The newly-constructed school hall reverberated with these recitations. School captain Jasman Singh (Class X) told people about the teachings and preachings of Guru Granth Sahib. Kulwaran Singh (Class X) highlighted the philosophy and life of Guru Nanak Dev. Kavishri by the students, also advocated the simplicity and benolevance of Guru Nanak Dev. Jasmeet Kaur enlightened the audience on the historical background of 300 years of Guruta Gaddi.
The principal, Jaskiran Kaur said that Guru Granth Sahib was a secular granth and taught us all to rise above petty differences and weaknesses.
