City sugar technologist gets gold medal for power paper

Sugar technologist and technical consultant to the city-based Vasantdada Sugar Institute K R Patil has been awarded a gold medal by the Sugar Technologists of India for his paper on power co- generation in the sugar industry. The award was conferred on Patil by former President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam at the 70 th Annual convention of the Sugar Technologists of India which was held at Udaipur in Rajasthan.

Patil has presented various papers relating to the sugar industry and won numerous awards for his technical papers. Currently,Patil is working as a technical consultant to various sugar factories at the national and international level.
