The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will construct a hanging garden around the Adambaug mosque at Sadashiv Peth near Sarasbaug. The decision was taken late on Friday, after the civic body held discussions with the members of the Nagori Muslim Misgar Jamat Trust. The issue was long pending and had witnessed a lot of controversy.
The hanging garden is to be constructed on the Adambaug land excluding the particular mosque location.
The PMC has started laying a barbed wire fence around the site from Saturday to protect the land site. The decision was taken after trust members' approval for the project, after the meetings.
