NEW DELHI: A middle-aged driver was shot at by two unidentified men on a motorcycle as he resisted an attempted robbery on Thursday. Police said Vijay Pal had parked the car near Rithala Metro station in Rohini when two men asked for the keys. As he refused, one them shot at him and fled.
Dead patient's mother assaults doctor
NEW DELHI: A doctor was assaulted by the mother of a 25-year-old patient who died at a Delhi government hospital, police said on Thursday.
Dr Samreen Haq (24) of LN Hospital told to police that Uma Devi barged into the emergency ward and pulled her hair and pushed her to the floor.
Qatar Airways to pay for luggage lost in transit
NEW DELHI: Qatar Airways has been directed by a district consumer forum in the city to pay Rs 80,005 to a flier for loss of his luggage in transit from Delhi to Milan in 2010. The forum said Qatar Airways is liable to reimburse Manish Raj Bhardwaj as his baggage was lost due to negligence of the airline's handling staff.
