Civic body moots proposal to telecast House meetings live on YouTube

The Municipal Corporation has mooted a proposal for telecasting the meeting of the General House live on YouTube. The meeting is scheduled for February 28. The budget of the civic body and a debate on house tax are some of the important issues slated to be discussed. Mayor Subhash Chawla stated that an agency has been roped in for the purpose. "The budget meeting will be telecast live, allowing people across the world to be able to view the proceedings. The agency is not charging us anything for this," Chawla said. Presently, the meetings of the MC are recorded, but are not telecast anywhere. The meetings generally witness a lot of ruckus over several issues. The city residents will now be able to watch their representatives live in action.
