Let people decide PPP’s place in state’s history: Manpreet

On the issue of blaming the Centre for all of Punjab’s problems,Manpreet Badal who was the state’s finance minister till late last year,said,“This is not the right attitude. Punjab will have to look inward for the solutions. Punjab is one state which has always given to others and it does not behove us that we are asking for things. There are solutions to problems and we can sort them out at our own end.”

Manpreet assured people,“If given a chance I promise that no politician will zoom around the state with a red light on his vehicle. The heavy police security will also be cut down and the police will be stationed inside the police stations to serve the public and not as masters. SHOs will not be the head of a police station. Each SHO will work for eight hours only and then the shift will change. Similarly tehsildars will not be the ones who decide whether to do a land registry or not. Educated young boys of an area who are computer literate will complete land registries as per the government norms.”
