Climate change takes centre stage at national integration meet

The two-day National Integration Meet started at the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Sector 25 on Thursday. The theme of this year’s meet is ‘Millennium Developmental Goals: Climate Change and Environment’.

UT Home Secretary Ram Niwas inaugurated a painting exhibition which showcased the children’s concern regarding climate change and social evils. He also took a round of the exhibition and interacted with the students. Students also presented a choir performance on the inaugural day.

Navodaya Vidyalayas of eight regions including Bhopal, Chandigarh, Patna, Jaipur, Pune, Lucknow, Shillong and Hyderabad are participating in the meet.

M L Sharma, deputy commissioner of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, assistant commissioner P S Rana and principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, C M Sharma were present at the function.
