Missing in action

This was visible at the Rose Festival when most of the BJP-SAD councillors were present, while the Congress councillors were conspicuous by their absence. The BJP leaders stated that while the Congress might be in majority in the House, outside, the party is nowhere to be seen.
Groping in the dark
Police personnel manning the control room at Panchkula literally grope in the dark after the electricity goes off. The police personnel have to put on the lights of their cell-phones to do the work. Police personnel say that they are working on a makeshift arrangement and the work for the new office in the Secretariat building has been going on for quite some time. The current PCR, which caters to the Panchkula district, does not have the facility to connect with the main generator that is being used to supply the light to the entire Secretariat complex in Sector 1 in the city.
