Three-day corporate event
Pune based AIMS Institute of Management Studies organised a three-day corporate event from August 26 to 28. The event, titled 'Ekayana', focused on exchange of knowledge on different aspects of management. Ekayana is a Sanskrit word which means one path or one vehicle. The subjects covered in the three day meet were HR, finance and marketing.The event was graced by various corporate leaders of the country. L S Subramanium, president, NISE inaugurated the event, while the Chief Guest was Anil Vasantrao Deshmukh, Minister of Food and Supplies and Consumer Protection (Govt of Maharashtra). The speakers who participated in Ekayana were from Suzlon, Bank Of Maharashtra, Skoda Auto, Lifestyle, Tata Communication, Bharat Forge and Ceat Tyres. The theme of this national level event was 'Hawk Eye View- Symptoms and Solutions'. This was the first event organized by AIMS Institute of Management Institute after its inception in 2009.
Tech quiz for school children
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is organising the Pune edition of TCS IT Wiz, India's largest tech quiz for schools, today at the Nehru Memorial Hall, Camp. The regional rounds of TCS IT Wiz this year are being held in Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Pune, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Kochi, Lucknow, Delhi and Mumbai. This nationwide event is expected to reach out to 2,00,000 students. The quiz is open to school students studying in standards 8 – 12. There is no entry fee.
Diabetes camp
Suryadatta Group of Institutes, in association with Diabetes Care of Research Foundation Pune, recently organised a free diabetes check-up camp. The camp received a huge response, with a total of 105 patients being checked for blood, BMI and diabetes. Dr Abhay Mutha, a guest at the event, addressed people on 'How to avoid diabetes and follow an ideal lifestyle'. Dignitaries like Dr Deepak Shikarpurkar, Kiran Dagde, president of Rashtravadi Youth Congress, Anil Dagde, Dr Sanjay Chordia, founder president and chairman of Suraydatta Group of Institutes, were present for this camp. All the teachers and students of the institute participated in this camp with great enthusiasm.
