    Preparations underway for a BSP rally at Bheemrao Ambedkar Parivartan Sthal in Lucknow on Monday. Pramod Singh Adhikari

    Mayawati had inaugurated the Ambedkar Memorial on January 15, 2003, and the stupas were built later. The Kanshiram Memorial has been developed on 42-acre area on VIP Road at a cost of Rs 370 crore. It has the biggest dome in the country.

    The Buddha Sthal is coming up on 100-acre area opposite the Kanshiram Memorial at a cost of Rs 90 crore.  

    The statues Mayawati is likely to unveil are at and near the Ambedkar Memorial, Samata Mulak Chauraha, Buddha Sthal.
