  • A local court has registered a complaint against Chief Minister Mayawati and 18 others over a petition filed by a magician charging them with not discharging official duties with regard to his grievance on alleged encroachment of his property.

The court on Saturday also registered a complaint against Special Secretary to Governor Haricharan, former principal secretary (Home) Satish Kumar Agrawal, senior BSP leader Krishna Kumar Pandey and a few police officers. Chief Judicial Magistrate Gyan Prakash registered the complaint filed by Mohammad Ali alias Ali Baba, a local magician and the owner of magic show company — Himiya International, and transferred the case to ACJM. The court directed Ali to get his statement recorded under Section 200 of IPC on October 31 before the court of ACJM.

Ali (56) has charged his relatives and others with encroaching and capturing his property under the patronage of Krishna Kumar Pandey and local policemen. He contended that the chief minister and others had failed to discharge their duties as public servants by neglecting his requests and complaints through post on the land dispute.
