The XVIIIth annual conference of Association of Gynaecologic Oncologist of India which was organised by Department of Gynaecology Oncology of Mohan Dai Oswal Cancer Hospital concluded here today. with Dr Satish Jain as organizing chairman and Dr Veena Jain, who was the organizing secretary of the conference, has been elected as the president of the AGOICON.

Today, a symposium on “Clinical management of early stage cancer ovary”, “Symposium on management policies in different types of ovarian cancers”, “Newer trend in the management and diagnosis of gynae cancers”, and a panel discussion on “Gynae cancer associated with pregnancy” were held.

There was free paper presentation by the young doctors and also a poster display of their work from different parts of the country and there was a Gynae Onco Quiz also where the final round were conducted for the awards. This was followed by the valedictory function, where the prizes were given to the young scientist for their scientific paper presentation, poster presentation and oncology quiz.

Poster awards on November 7: Ist prize to Dr Tejinder Kaur, MD Oswal Cancer Hospital, Ludhiana and 2nd prize to Dr. Abhimanyu from Chandigarh.

November 8: 1st prize to Dr Surbhi from MD Oswal Cancer Hospital, Ludhiana;

2nd prize to Dr Sheikh Zahoor Ahmed from Kochi.

Over-all best paper: Late Prof Sarasvati Arora Award given to Dr Surbhi; 2nd best paper Dr Tejinder Kaur, both of MD Oswal Cancer Hospital, Ludhiana.
