Charging the SAD-BJP Government with bias in paddy procurement process, the leaders of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) from Majha held a protest at Ajnala on Tuesday.

Leading the dharna at Ajnala grain market, Harpratap Singh Ajnala said, “The SAD-BJP is unleashing political vendetta in Majha. Local MLA and his henchmen are putting pressure on the government agencies to not purchase or lift paddy stock from farmers and agents who are aligned with the Congress.”

He said instead of giving bonus, the SAD-BJP is looting farmers in Majha area as most them were not even getting the MSP fixed for paddy. Senior Congress leader Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said that local SAD MLA Amarpal Singh Bony is promoting the use of spurious agri-medicines. He threatened to block the GT Road of the government did not stop this bias.
