Cong,BJP want political mileage out of Liberhan report: Maya

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today alleged that Congress and BJP were trying to take political mileage out of Liberhan Commission report.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today alleged that Congress and BJP were trying to take political mileage out of Liberhan Commission report.

“Congress and BJP are taking political mileage out of the Liberhan commission report on the demolition of the Babri Masjid,” the BSP chief told a press conference here.

On the tabling of the report on the December 6,1992 incident in Parliament yesterday,she said “the Action Taken Report (ATR) tabled in Parliament was just to hush up the matter which is condemnable”.

She also cautioned people to be aware of the “divisive politics” played on religion and caste lines by Congress and BJP.

The chief minister directed principal secretary (Home) and Director General of Police to ensure maintenance of law and order in the wake of the findings of the report.
