Terming the defection of four Samajwadi Party MLAs as “betrayal” on the part of Congress, the party general secretary Amar Singh said on Monday that the party has broken his heart.
“Congress Party has betryaed us by engineering defection of four MLAs of our party. They have not only broken my party, but also my heart,” Singh said while addressing a tribal convention ahead of assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh. “ We wanted to fight against communal forces with the Congress, but now no alliance will be forged with it and the SP will field its candidates on its own in all the 230 seats in MP,” Singh said. However, he said he is a “Kshatriya” and will abide by his committment to Sonia Gandhi.
