  • BSP chief and former UP chief minister, Mayawati, on Friday targeted the Congress for not being honest in providing reservation in admissions to students belonging to backward castes. At a press conference in her official residence in Lucknow, she said the apex court should not stay the decision of Parliament.

Mayawati said until a fresh census is conducted, the court should allow reservations based on the old figures.

Announcing the second phase of her election tour, she claimed that BSP candidates would win in Etawah, Kannauj and Mainpuri, the den of Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav
