Cong ready to face inquiry

Congress in Uttarakhand on Thursday said it is ready to face an inquiry in any alleged scam in the tenure of N D Tiwari government.

If Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank is saying that widespread irregularities were done in the allotment of hydropower projects during the tenure of previous Congress government,why he is shying away of ordering an inquiry,

State Congress President Yashpal Arya told reporters here.

“We are ready to face any inquiry by any agency in any alleged scam,” said Arya.

Regarding recent allotment of hydel projects by the Nishank government,Arya alleged seven projects were awarded to an individual despite the fact that no individual can own more than three projects.

He also claimed that feasibility report was also 0ignored by the government while awarding the projects to the developers.

Even the developers which were selected by the B C Khanduri government,were not alloted the projects,Arya said. The BJP government also changed the land use pattern of Citurgia Biochemicals to facilitate a housing project at Rishikesh in gross violation of tough environmental projects,he alleged.
