Congress MP slams BJP for targeting Sonia,Rajiv

Rajya Sabha MP and former Union minister Ashwani Kumar has condemned the BJPs attempt.

Rajya Sabha MP and former Union minister Ashwani Kumar has condemned the BJPs attempt to besmirch the fair name of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and the late Rajiv Gandhi in the wake of Income-Tax Appellate Tribunal’s ruling concerning tax liability of a third party.

The bankruptcy of the BJP and its flawed and failed politics is now hopelessly sought to be redeemed through calumny, venom and vitriol against members of Indias premier political family who have served the nation in the finest traditions of public service, Kumar said in a press release on Tuesday.

The insinuations and innuendos against Sonia Gandhi is symptomatic of perverse politics and refusal to accept that people have repeatedly distinguished between what is right and what is politic, he said, adding the BJP sought to distract the nations attention from its communal politics by raising the bogey of Bofors.
