Congress non-committal on who would be the CMs

As the party appeared set to come to power in Rajasthan and Mizoram and retain power in Delhi, Congress remained non-committal on the leadership issue.

“There is a laid down procedure in the Congress party.

We have not yet discussed…. It is for the Congress President to decide,” party’s Media Department Chairman M Veerappa Moily said.

He was replying to a question on who would be the Chief Ministers in the three states.

The party had not projected any leader as the Chief Ministerial candidate in any of the states.

While Ashok Gehlot and Ajit Jogi spearheaded the Congress campaign in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh respectively, Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit was the ‘boss’ of the Congress in Delhi.
