Admitting “inherent difficulties” in the running of the coalition government,Jammu and Kashmir Congress on Wednesday said it wanted to strengthen the National Conference led government in the state to address the grievances of the people at grass-root level.
“There are some inherent difficulties in the coalition but Congress party is on move to strengthen the coalition in the state so that the government reaches to the people in a better way,” JKPCC president Saifuddin Soz said while chairing a day-long convention of party workers at Damhal Hanjipora,70 kms from here in South Kashmir.
Congress shares power with National Conference-led government in the state since January 5,2009.
Soz,responding to the grievances of the party functionaries and workers, said he would take personal interest in resolving their problems in near future.
The main complaint of the Congress workers of Noorabad was that the coalition government was not functioning properly at the grass root level and Congress workers are being discriminated against.
The workers also complained about the shortage of ration and faulty distribution system in Noorabad besides the alleged failure of the government to properly implement Centrally-sponsored NAREGA scheme.
They also expressed dismay over the malfunctioning of the schools and hospitals in the area.
