Contests held to mark Population Day

To mark the World Population Day,a district-level competitor was organised at Government Model Senior Secondary School at PAU today. On this occasion,four competitions — poster making,essay writing,declamation contest and poem recitation — were held.

Pardeep Kapoor,district science supervisor,Kuskum Lata,state awardee science mistress of PAU school,Anoop Kumar Passi,the school principal,were also present on this occasion. The winners were given away prizes.

The results are as follows: poster making: Jaspreet Singh I,Pushpinder Singh II,Mandeep Kaur III.

Essay writing: Damanpreet Kaur I,Sandeep Kaur II,Jaspreet Kaur III.

Poem recitation: Rachan Singh I,Vaneet Kumar II,Gurpreet Kaur III.
