New Delhi, September 22:: Delhi Police Special Cell Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma, died of ‘heart-attack’ as a result of excessive bleeding after being shot ‘twice’ during the Jamia Nagar encounter with suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorists on Friday, hospital sources said on Monday.

"Analysis of reports given by Holy Family Hospital and our initial findings points out that the officer died of heart attack arising out of excessive blood loss," a senior doctor said.

The sources said no bullets were found in the body, clearly indicating that "the shots were fired from a very close range."

According to doctors, there was an initial X-ray done on Sharma soon after he was brought to the Holy Family hospital which did not reveal any bullets lodged in the body.

"During our post-moterm too, we have not found any bullets," they said.

Doctors say that since Sharma who was part of ‘Dirty Harry Squad’ of the Special Cell had four gun-shot injuries on his body, ‘in all probability, he was hit by just two bullets which pierced through the body’.

As per the medical bulletin of the Holy Family hospital, the officer had received injuries on his left shoulder, left upper arm, left upper abdomen and right hip.

When asked to specify from which part of the body did the bullet enter and exit, a senior doctor said, "Study of the passage of bullets show that one could have entered from the left shoulder and exited from the left upper arm and the other from the abdomen and then the hips.

"At this moment I cannot specifically say what were the entry and exit points of the bullets. It could be the other way round also."

Encounter that was a flop! by Nyayman on 2008-09-23 09:11:40.249936+05:30
OH,Listen!(Lo Suno!) Delhi Special Cell Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma, an encounter veteran was declared by the police as grievously injured during the encounter on Friday and succumbed to injuries around 7P.M.! After 72 hours ,around 8P.M. on Monday, 22ndSseptember, it is disclosedthat in the posmortem report"no bullet was found inthe body.Since he was shot from very close range two bullets had passed through his body and" he died of heart attack arising out of excessive blod loss!"The encounter tale does not hold water due to so many contradictions !The Delh state govt.should immediately cause a thorough enquiry as to why an encounter was planned?Who authorized it?How the encounter veteran got shot from close range? Why he was not wearing the bulletproof jacket? How adequate gun support could not be provided by the jacket wearing group?.All those responsible for the death of the Inspector must be severely dealt with.ovt. should immediately cause an enquiry into it.

sharma was double croosed. any idiot can tell that the two terror suspects were awaiting sharma. now the politicians are running to gain political mileage and put fire in the inferno. it cannot bring a father back. we know for sure that sharma's don't care for other sharma unlike the Modi's Manmohan's Gandhi's etc. So the children will have a difficult future.
