Copper futures prices marginally up as demand picks up

Copper prices traded marginally higher at Rs 435.35 per kg in futures trade today

Copper prices traded marginally higher at Rs 435.35 per kg in futures trade today on pick up in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange,copper for delivery in November traded higher by 60 paise,or 0.14 per cent,to Rs 435.35 per kg,with a business turnover of 34,028 lots.

Likewise,the metal for delivery in February inched up by 35 paise,or 0.08 per cent,to Rs 440.75 per kg in 1,470 lots.

Marketmen attributed the marginally rise in copper futures to pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
