Cops bust call girl racket in Kanpur

Police today claimed to have smashed a high-profile call girl racket with the arrest of three men and two young women in Kidwai Nagar area in the district here.

“Late last night police received information that some men in a white car parked outside a cinema hall were indulging in indecent activity with some girls,” a police spokesman said.

Acting on the information,the police raided the place and allegedly found three men with two young women in an objectionable state,he added.

They also found a few liquor bottles in the car.

The arrested men were identified as Ankur Aggarwal,Dheeraj Aggarwal and Sumit Mahajan,who belong to influential business families of the city.

The girls claimed to have come from another city and told the police that they were promised Rs 5,000-Rs 15,000.

They also said that several othes including a few businessmen were involved in the racket.

The kingpin of the racket,whoever,fled,police said.

Police are questioning those arrested and raids have been carried out at several places to arrest the racket operator.
